Just Me...

Something about myself, to be identified in the world...

My flowing thoughts. . .

Why do I do this?

Each time I get close to someone

They go away,

Who all do I name, I understand the fault is mine,

this curse I carry

A curse that is a blessing for the attainment of my cause,

But a dagger through the heart of emotion

I’ve gone numb

Tears I want ti shed, but hold them I do,

I’m weak inside, the strength all for my cause.

I end my journey of self emotion,

I seek my cause, the contentment of those who suffer from the day they entered the world

What are my tears in front of theirs?

What is my pain in front of their agony?

I must be strong,

There is a larger goal for me, something

that has been destined to me

I embrace the path, I embrace the thorn of crowns, the rugged road

The pains on my path

For the reward at the end of the journey

Is much more than what I see before me…

Visions. . .

Its July, 2005,

Rain pours down this year, with a different look,

The trees, lush green they are,

Puddles filled with the pure water from the sky above.

Sweet fragrance of the mud and water mix in the air.

But what is it I see, I don’t see all this…

The land is barren, dirt all over, craters and cracks in the earth,

Its dry, looks lifeless,

Children playing in the mud,

Every foot step raises the dust,

An old man looks at me, right into the eye,

Near a hand pump he sits,

A pot in his hand, he waits,

Eyes dry, a thirst…

A question… “Pani kab aayeja?”

Tears in my eyes, a cold shiver,

I realize its raining, the trees lush green,

The puddles filled with water

And the sweet fragrance of mud and water in the air.

Note:

I joined TISS in June end, a sequence of events over 2 months (but one that began in 2003) that is taking me closer and closer to my realization of my purpose.

The visions I experienced for almost a month, the realization that I have a part to play, a role that I can’t put into words, but I feel it.

“Keep the Faith, Be Great. . .”
